MACNAB STREET BUS TERMINAL 

The City of Hamilton's design concepts for the new transit terminal to be built on MacNab Street. The design will be completely accessible and will incorporate a green roof and heated platform.
 




The terminal is will incorporate a ticket counter, public washrooms, and amenities for bus drivers in the downtown facility scheduled to be completed in late summer 2010.



Vehicular access to the underground parking in the CIBCbuilding will be maintained as well as the stage door of Hamilton Place.


FREE WEEKEND PARKING 
CONTINUES DOWNTOWN

The Downtown Hamilton Business Improvement Area urged the City of Hamilton to provide Free Parking in Downtown Hamilton. While budgets remained tight, City Council did approve the implementation of a Free Weekend Parking program for the Community Improvement Program Area. Orange coloured face plates at meters within the Downtown give Downtown guests 2 hours free at that meter between Friday night at 6 pm to Monday morning at 8:00 a.m.

The City of Hamilton has just approved an increase in the hourly rate of parking for Downtown Hamilton to go from 50 c to $1.00 per hour.
