Getting to-and-fro the JUNOS safely

Many readers will already be well acquainted with our great public transportation options in the city, but with many late nights on the way, and possibly the hangovers to go with it, we’ve shared a list of some of our city’s primary public transportation hubs to ensure your stay is as safe as it is enjoyable!

The Hamilton GO station is the hub for almost* all inter-provincial travel in the Steel City. Featuring connections to Toronto, Pearson Airport, Kitchener & Waterloo, and St. Catharines, and some local busses connecting Downtown Hamilton.

*Please note that only a handful of trains head to Hamilton GO during peak hours. Most trains on the Lakeshore West Line will depart and arrive at West Harbour GO.

Located right in the heart of Downtown Hamilton, in between the First Ontario Concert Hall and the Downtown Hamilton BIA. The Frank A. Cooke Bus Station sees a significant number of local busses connecting Downtown Hamilton to the rest of the wider city, including Hamilton Mountain and John C. Munro Airport. Busses run frequently and there is a flat rate for using the Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) to keep costs low, even if you are travelling from the edges of the city.

The West Harbour GO Station is where the majority* of Lakeshore West GO Trains arrive and depart in the city. One of two stops in Hamilton, West Harbour is the closest and most accessible to everything Downtown and the JUNOS.

*Certain Lakeshore West Trains southbound form Union Station might stop and start at Aldershot or Burlington stations instead.
