Wednesday – Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra
_{Spend your Wednesday lunch hour with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra on King William Street! This live music series brings orchestral music right to the heart of downtown.

Catch us as we feature familiar favourites arranged for quintets, including beloved movie themes, radio hits, and classical melodies you’ll know and love. Stay for a song, or the whole show, and make the most of your visit by exploring the local businesses that make King William Street a vibrant downtown destination}

Thursday – Champagne James Robertson presented by FRIENDS OF CASBAH
_{Based in Hamilton for the last three years, Champagne James Robertson—a veteran of Junkhouse and Dwayne Gretzky—crafts a sonic architecture that feels both ancient and immediate. For this series, he pivots from his electric trio to a starker, more evocative palette: original compositions scored for baritone ukulele and flute. Accompanied by the technical precision of flute virtuoso Anh Phung, the performance captures a specific, desolate beauty—what can only be described as the music of the Great Canadian Desert. It is a study in tonal restraint, made only for the ears of King William Street.}

Friday – Games Night on King William
_{Come down to King William for a Games Night on the street with a wide variety of jumbo-sized games, (and regular sized ones too!) on Friday from 7.00pm to 8.00pm! Giant games include Checkers, Jenga, Connect 4, Kerplunk, Guess Who, Tetris and Dominos!
Visitors can also enjoy assorted puzzles and board games set up on the picnic tables.}

Saturday – Plus Size Community Market
_{The Plus Size Market is popping up one more time this summer. On Saturday August 8 we’re taking over King William Street between James Street North & Hughson Street North!
The market brings together plus size vintage and preloved clothing vendors, performers, small brands and designers, artists and makers for a day of fat joy and celebration, open to everyone. PLUS, enjoy musical performances throughout the day!}

Summer on King William Street is Here!

The King William Street Summer, presented by the City of Hamilton in collaboration with the Downtown Hamilton BIA, is an annual pedestrianization of King William Street between James Street North and Hughson Street North. After seeing great success in the inaugural run of 2024, the road closure has continued to expand each year with more programming to enjoy and fun to be had!

The reimagined space will feature outdoor public seating, dynamic programming and a welcoming atmosphere designed to bring the community together. As part of the City’s broader downtown revitalization and economic development goals, this initiative will create a lively destination for all.

The road is closed from July 13th through September 13th, kicking off with elements of Hamilton’s annual Fringe Festival and closing out with Supercrawl.
