The Downtown Hamilton Business Improvement Area is excited to announce the return of the Gore Park Summer Promenade for 2024!
This year the Gore Park Summer Promenade will run from 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday each week, beginning on June 4 and ending on August 29. Designed to be a free, fun event for the whole family, the Summer Promenade will transform Gore Park into an inviting place to spend your lunch break. Throughout the summer there will be 39 unique performances from a variety of talented local musicians, giving you plenty of opportunities to find a new favourite artist!
In addition to live music, there will also be other exciting activities for attendees to enjoy throughout the summer. There will be delicious food vendors scheduled consistently throughout the summer so you can grab a treat while enjoying the music, and seating to enjoy. Life size games including connect 4, jenga, checkers and ladder toss will also be available for visitors to play, c’mon down and challenge your friends! Additionally, make sure you check out the new summer station for everything you need for a perfect day in the park.
The Downtown Hamilton BIA wants to extend our deepest thanks to local business Dr. Disc (20 Wilson Street) for their valuable help during this event. Our partnership with Dr. Disc began in 2019 when we hired a professional sound technician to be on site each day and ensure sound quality for all performances. We would also like to thank the Hamilton Musician’s Guild Local 293 (20 Hughson Street South Suite 306) for their their continued support of musical talent within Hamilton as a whole. We are continually grateful for these partnerships each year and the opportunity to bring live music to the downtown core.
The Summer Promenade is a rain-or-shine event apart from severe weather, and the BIA will notify people of any necessary cancellations as soon as possible through our social media channels. Here is the schedule for this summer, we can’t wait to see you there!
