The Downtown Hamilton BIA is thrilled to announce the return of the Gore Park Summer Promenade for 2023, with a new and exciting format!

The Summer Promenade will run every Thursday from May 25 to August 31, and a change from previous years’ format means that there will be two bands playing each day, with a fun event in between the two sets. The first band will perform from 12 to 2 pm, there will be an activation from 2 to 4 pm, and the final band will take the stage from 4 to 6 pm. Designed to be a free, fun event for the entire family, this event transforms Gore Park into a bustling and inviting space to listen to music and enjoy your lunch and dinner, with 30 different opportunities to find a new favourite local band!

Seating and life-size games including connect 4, jenga and chess will be positioned throughout the park each Thursday, and there will be a variety of interesting vendors attending throughout the summer to share information about their organizations and the services that they provide. Weather permitting, there will be a food truck present at every day of the Summer Promenade.

The Summer Promenade would not be possible without the valuable work of Dr. Disc (20 Wilson Street). In 2019 we hired a sound technician from Dr. Disc to be on-site each day and ensure the quality of the sound, and their incredible work allows us to bring live music back to Gore Park again for another year.

The Summer Promenade is a rain-or-shine event with the exception of severe weather, and we will notify people of any necessary cancellations through our social media channels.
