Part 19: The Return of the Halloween Spooktacular | October 16, 2024
Spooky season has returned for 2024, and with it comes the return of the Downtown Hamilton BIA’s Halloween Spooktacular! Running from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, October 25 in Gore Park, this event is designed to be fun for the entire family. Event attendees will find the park transformed into a celebration of all things spooky, sure to get everyone into the Halloween spirit. Continue reading for some more information about what attendees can expect at this year’s Halloween Spooktacular!
The event will include both large-scale attractions and smaller Halloween-themed activities, ensuring that there is something fun for everyone. Visitors can take a stroll through the hay maze before taking a ride on the spinning pumpkin ride and swinging pirate’s revenge ship, both great thrill rides to kick off the night. A mystifying magician, jaw-dropping aerialists and a friendly princess and superhero will roam the park while a balloon artist makes cool creations, make sure you stop by and say hello! For those looking to get a memento of the night, get your face painted before visiting the photo booth to capture your cool costumes in all of their glory. Make sure you visit the interactive pirate ship to say hello to the pirates before taking advantage of the candy giveaway. There will also be a pumpkin decorating station, with children being able to take their pumpkins home with them when finished. All activities are completely free. All ages are welcome to attend, and the BIA encourages attendees to show up and show out in their best costumes!
While in the area, we encourage you to spend some extra time in the downtown core and make a whole night of it (and you don’t even need to leave Gore Park)! If you are looking for dinner plans that night, make sure you visit Burrito Boyz, located at 66 King Street East. Their menu includes burritos, quesadillas, nachos and more, making it a great place for a quick dinner. If you are looking for a delicious drink to help you warm up in the cool weather, look no further than Redcurch Café + Gallery, located at 68 King Street East. Their menu includes cappuccinos, americanos, hot chocolate and much more, in addition to a variety of sweet treats and food items. Visit either of these establishments before or after the event to make your night even better!
The annual Halloween Spooktacular is designed to be a welcoming and fun event for attendees of all ages to gather within the downtown core and celebrate Halloween together. We encourage all families to join us on Friday, October 25 for a night of fun, free Halloween activities and festivities, and we hope that everyone has a spooktacular time!
