The Downtown Hamilton BIA is offering FREE walking tours throughout September!
Take this opportunity to explore downtown Hamilton while learning about its past with a spooky twist from an experienced tour leader. Currently, tours are available for:
- Friday, September, 16 @ 8:30pm – Fully Booked
- Friday, September, 23 @ 8:30pm – Fully Booked
- Friday, September, 30 @ 8:30pm – Fully Booked
Walking tours are free to attend for up to 24 people per tour. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis and pre-registration is required. Please register here, ensuring a separate form is filled out for each participant.
Attendees can meet in front of the Royal Connaught (118 King St. E.) at 8:00 pm for a complimentary Starbucks drink before the tour begins at 8:30 pm.
Additional Details
- Tour is approx. 90 minutes long – featuring the streets and alleys of the core
- Tours run rain or moon-shine – bring an umbrella if there’s a drizzle
- Dress comfortably and appropriately with comfy walking shoes
- Photography is allowed however, camcorders and video recording devices are prohibited
The Fine Print
Please note by attending the free tours you agree to the following terms of service (Release of Liability Waiver)
Voluntary Participation – I understand and confirm that my participation in a
Ghost Walks (HH Paranormal Inc) walking tour is voluntary. I am in good health
and suffer from no physical or mental condition that would make me susceptible to injury or
disability while participating in the tour.
Understanding Risks – I am aware of the risks, dangers and hazards involved in my
participation in a Ghost Walks (HH Paranormal Inc) walking tour. I understand that the Ghost
Walks (HH Paranormal Inc) walking tours take place in public venues and areas under conditions
largely beyond the control of Ghost Walks (HH Paranormal Inc) guides and supervisors, and the
Company.
Potential risks may include, but are not limited to, uneven walking surfaces, potholes, raised
path edges, wet or slippery ground, steps, curbs, low lighting, narrow walkways, traffic
movement, road crossings, diversions due to construction or exposure to weather conditions.
Assuming Risks – I assume all risks involved in participation in a walking tour provided by Ghost
Walks (HH Paranormal Inc). I accept personal responsibility for any liability, injury, loss, or
damage in any way connected with my participation in a Ghost Walks (HH Paranormal Inc)
walking tour.
Release of Liability – I release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Ghost Walks (HH
Paranormal Inc), its principals, affiliated entities, parent companies, subsidiaries, present and
former employees, owners, officers, members, managers, partners, contractors, insurers,
shareholders, and directors (collectively “Released Entities”) from any and all claims, actions,
damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses for death, injury, loss or damage of property, in
any way arising out of my participation in a Ghost Walks (HH Paranormal Inc) walking tour,
including, without limitation, any and all claims resulting from the negligence of the Released
Entities.
Indemnity Agreement – I indemnify and hold harmless the Released Entities from any loss,
liability, damage or cost that they may incur for losses and damages which may be brought
against me or against any of them by anyone claiming to be injured (including death) or whose
property is damaged as a result of my actions arising from or during a Ghost Walks (HH
Paranormal Inc) walking tour.
If any portion of this Waiver is held to be invalid it is agreed that the balance of the Agreement
will remain valid and enforceable
