The downtown core has a variety of amazing nightlife venues, each with a great and energetic atmosphere. You can take advantage of the nicer weather and plan a great night out with your friends, filled with fun, dancing and partying!
One of downtown Hamilton’s most popular nightlife venues is MANSION, located at 54 King Street East. This nightclub and venue space is located within a heritage building, which creates a truly captivating space that blends both old and new aesthetics together seamlessly. The spacious interior with bright neon lights will be the perfect space to have a great time and dance the night away. Each week MANSION hosts Social Saturdays, and the fact that there is only one event a week will make your visit feel even more special and unique. Social Saturdays are sure to be energetic and enjoyable, and they often have unique themes that make them even more exciting. Another great nightlife venue in downtown Hamilton that is sure to impress is ZEN Lounge, located at 69 John Street South. This lounge offers food, cocktails, and energetic music, and they have bottle, food, late night, and drinks menus that you can order from during your visit. Each week they host two events, Fiesta Fridays and Shanghai Night Saturdays, both acting as the perfect high-energy way to kick off your weekend. This week they are hosting Blanco: The White Attire Party on March 31 from 10 pm to 2 am, with entertainment from DJ Alejo and MC Ernesto. On April 1 they are hosting Afrofest 2023 After Party, with music from Edge the DJ, DJ Shan, and Deemz. One venue that you should make an effort to visit if you are looking for a great night out is Bad & Boujee, located at 93 John Street South. This nightclub and entertainment venue recently underwent new and exciting changes, adding a dancefloor and updating its weekly events. They now host three new and improved weekly events, each one sure to be an exciting night out. The first weekly event is Turn Up Thursdays, with $3 tequila. Fridays are Feel Good Fridays, and Saturdays are Ladies Night. Now that they have updated their interior and events, make sure that you pay Bad & Boujee a visit soon so you can experience the changes firsthand! Another nightclub that you can visit if you are looking for a fun night out is Seventy-Seven, located at 77 King William Street. This venue is known for its high-energy atmosphere and music acts, with a specific focus on EDM, house and dance music. Each week they host special nights on Fridays and Vice Saturdays, and then they have special music events interspersed throughout their schedule. There are some events coming up that are sure to impress, as they present the opportunity to party and enjoy the music with many other people in an energetic setting. On March 31st they are hosting a Naughty Bunny party, with music by DJ OJ. On April 1st Barely Alive will be performing, and then Cheyenne Giles will be performing on April 15th. The final amazing nightlife venue is Sankofa Lounge & Restaurant, located at 92 Jackson Street East. It is a lounge, restaurant, and venue space all in one, and they have everything that you need for a great night out. They offer Afrofusion BBQ from Suya Boyz, with a delicious menu that includes delicious items such as jollof + chicken, a jerk chicken burger and fried plantain, among many other amazing options. Each week they host Faded Fridays and VIP Saturdays, each one with drink specials and delicious food. They have also recently announced two special events for the coming months, so make sure that you purchase your tickets as soon as possible. On April 21 they are hosting Dancehall Hits, with music by talented DJs, in addition to a energetic host that will keep the festivities going. On May 21 they are hosting Love & Money Pt 2, with trap, hiphop, dancehall, and afrobeatz music.
