It can sometimes seem that February is stuck in a slight state of flux. While we are approaching the end of winter and are experiencing more sunlight than previous, the cold and snow remain. Some people may have abandoned their New Year’s resolutions by now, while others may be holding strong. If you are currently looking for a pick-me-up, thankfully there are plenty of opportunities within the downtown core to make your days better. Keep reading for some inspiration on how to make your February more fantastic!

Food and Drinks

If you are looking for a sweet treat to lift your spirits, look no further than Momoco Donuts, located at 6 Catherine Street North. This bakery sells a variety of amazing treats that are sure to make your day better, with a menu that includes mochi donuts, milk buns, bao buns and more, all in a variety of flavours that you are sure to find delicious. Events

Something that is sure to make your day more fantastic is attending an interesting event, and you don’t need to look any further than The Assembly to do that. Located at 68 King Street East, this art gallery showcases a variety of contemporary art on a regular rotating basis.  Their current exhibit entitled All That We Wish to Stay runs until March 1 and is dedicated to the examination of the transient nature of life and enduring loss in the present. For those looking for a high-energy event, be sure to visit Club 77 at 77 King William Street. This dance and nightclub will let you dance the night away in style, with both regular and unique one-off events. If you are a music fan looking to attend an amazing show, make sure you add Mills Hardware to your list of places to visit. Located at 95 King Street East, this event venue hosts a variety of amazing shows that are sure to impress.
